Sree Narayana Public School, Elappully is one of the projects undertaken by the Sree Narayana Educational Society, Palakkad. The society is registered under Charitable Societies Act 1955. It has a Director Board, and a Managing Committee to run the School. It aims to develop educational institutions of high standard throughout the District and to facilitate better education, especially to the children of rural areas. The Management plans to introduce scholarships to deserving students. We arrange special coaching classes for students who are found backward in learning. Fee Concessions have already been introduced to deserving students
The under-19 girls team of Sree Narayana Public School, Elappully, has won the CBSE national kho-kho championship held at Avadh International School, Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The team qualified for the national level championship after its victory in the CBSE cluster-level championship held at Vyasa Vidya Peethom, Kallekkad, in August.
Physical education teacher K.G. Rejeesh, who was a national player, trained the team. The team will take part in the 69th national school games organised by the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) in Madhya Pradesh in December.
Sree Narayana Educational Society president C. Balan said that the team’s victory was a result of the collective effort of the school management, teachers, students, and the parent-teacher association (PTA).
It is my previlege to lead SNPS at a time when the school has entered its 35th year of service. In 1991, the school embarked on its journey to fulfill the aspiration of a community to educate their children imbibing the cultural and traditional heritage that they treasured.
The great Sree Narayana Gurudeva in 18th century dreamed of a society which is culturally responsive. It is evident from the thoughts and golden words of great gurudeva, “vidya kondu prabhudhar aavuka. Sangadana kondu shaktharavuka. Prayatnam kondu sampannar aavuka”. Schools today are becoming increasingly diverse and culturally rich. The optimum educational environment is a dynamic place where students who are culturally and linguistically diverse are provided the opportunity to learn and grow.

Tanvi Shijin of Class I, participated in the nationwide Spell Bee Contest and emerged as the national topper. She secured first place and was honored with the Topper’s Award by Sri Bharath P. Deshpande, former Justice of the High Court of Maharashtra, in recognition of her exceptional achievement. Her remarkable success was widely appreciated by the entire school community, including the staff, students, PTA, and the school management, who congratulated her on bringing great pride to the institution.
The SNPS Under-19 Girls Kho-Kho Team emerged victorious by winning the CBSE State Cluster X Championship 2025–2026, earning their spot in the National Level Competition. Their achievement has brought immense pride and glory to the institution.
Adding to the school’s success, the Under-14 Girls and Under-14 Boys Teams showcased their talent, determination, and sportsmanship by finishing as Runners-up in their respective categories.
The Management, Principal, and Staff congratulated all the teams for their outstanding performances, applauding their hard work, passion, and commitment which continue to inspire the entire SNPS family.
Online Quiz is conducted on every Saturday between 7pm to 8pm, marking an enthusiastic beginning to the quiz series. Several students from Classes VI to XII actively participate, showcasing not only their knowledge but also their eagerness to learn and compete. The quiz witnessed a healthy level of competition, with students displaying quick thinking and a strong grasp of diverse topics.

International Yoga Day is observed at SNPS on June 21, 2025 with great enthusiasm to raise awareness about the various benefits of practicing yoga. It was an extraordinary event that brought together academic directors, staff, students and yoga enthusiasts. It successfully promoted the practice of yoga and its benefits, while also emphasizing its global significance.

Panicker travelled through the villages of Kerala and popularised the slogan, ‘Read and Grow’.
