The under-19 girls team of Sree Narayana Public School, Elappully, has won the CBSE national kho-kho championship held at Avadh International School, Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The team qualified for the national level championship after its victory in the CBSE cluster-level championship held at Vyasa Vidya Peethom, Kallekkad, in August.
Physical education teacher K.G. Rejeesh, who was a national player, trained the team. The team will take part in the 69th national school games organised by the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) in Madhya Pradesh in December.
Sree Narayana Educational Society president C. Balan said that the team’s victory was a result of the collective effort of the school management, teachers, students, and the parent-teacher association (PTA).
The Under-19 Girls Kho-Kho team of SNPS scripted a glorious victory by clinching the CBSE State Cluster X Championship 2025–2026. With their unbeatable spirit, determination, and teamwork, the champions have now secured their place in the National Level Competition, making the entire school community beam with pride.
This remarkable triumph stands as a shining example of their hard work, passion, and dedication. The Management, Principal, and Staff extended their heartfelt congratulations to the team, celebrating them as true ambassadors of the institution’s excellence.
Adding to the school’s success, the Under-14 Girls and Under-14 Boys Teams showcased their talent, determination, and sportsmanship by finishing as Runners-up in their respective categories.
International Yoga Day is observed at SNPS on June 21, 2025 with great enthusiasm to raise awareness about the various benefits of practicing yoga. It was an extraordinary event that brought together academic directors, staff, students and yoga enthusiasts. It successfully promoted the practice of yoga and its benefits, while also emphasizing its global significance.
National Reading Day is observed at SNPS on June 19, 2025. The day marks PN Panicker’s death anniversary. Panicker travelled through the villages of Kerala and popularised the slogan, ‘Read and Grow’. Its aim is to Reading not only enhances one’s knowledge but helps in improving communication skills and inculcates holistic development.
