Our History

Sree Narayana Public School, Elappully is one of the projects undertaken by the Sree Narayana Educational Society, Palakkad. The society is registered under Charitable Societies Act 1955. It has a Director Board, and a Managing Committee to run the School. It aims to develop educational institutions of high standard throughout the District and to facilitate better education, especially to the children of rural areas. The management of the School has also plans to establish an educational complex with Boarding facilities, ITI, B.Ed. Center etc. The Management also plans to introduce scholarships to deserving students and to arrange special coaching classes for students who are found backward in learning. Fee Concessions have already been introduced to deserving students.

The School is situated at Mecherippadam, Kunnachi in Elappully Panchayath by the side of Kunnachi-Kallukuttiyal Road. It is about 12 kms south east of Palakkad Town and about 7 Kms North of Chittur – Thattamangalam Town.

The School is functioning in its own buildings and the area of the school campus is 10.5 acres. The School has two permanent RC buildings consisting of 37 class rooms, well equipped computers, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths Laboratories, Audio-Visual and Digital Class Rooms.

Affiliation for Senior Secondary Class (+2 Science, Computer Science and Commerce) has been granted by CBSE, New Delhi. There is enough land for the School for playgrounds, Kids Park and other requirements.

The school offers broad and diverse curricular as well as co-curricular programmes which cater to the needs of students of varying levels of learning. The school, with a moral-cultural uplift emphasis, has a long term goal of developing students in to enlightened, emboldened, responsible, knowledgeable & value rich citizens who can shoulder the responsibility of creating an ealitarian society as envisioned by Sree Narayana Guru, the doyen of cultural Renaissance in Kerala.
